Shenzhen Chiwan Wharf Holdings Ltd (SZA 000022; SZB 200022) said it handled 4.744 mln tons of cargo in October, down 7.9 pct year-on-year.

In a statement filed with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the port operator said container throughput in October decreased 19.4 pct from a year earlier to 444,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU).

In the 10 months to October, cargo handled by the company rose 9.5 pct year-on-year to 54.11 mln tons, while container throughput increased 2.6 pct to 5.157 mln TEU.
